Rocket History
Rocket Networks is a registered trade name for Professional/Systems Design (PSD) which was originally formed in 2001. PSD has been providing technology consulting, management, and technical support services to select clients in the SME sector. Consulting activities have included network design, build and maintenance solutions as well as server collocation, internet connectivity and hosted managed services for clients.
In May 2006, PSD completed the purchase of I.T. Solution providers Netcare Computing Inc., Perspective Technologies Inc.(PTI), Imaginative Computer Solutions Inc.(ICS) and created The Shorebridge Technology Group with offices in the BC Rail Centre located adjacent to Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. In February 2007, with 43 employees, Shorebridge was purchased by Uniserve Communications Corp.
For over 8 years, we provided networking solutions for some of the most recognized names around, if we can assist on your next project, please contact us directly.
PSD began development work on what is now Bonded DSL technology in the summer of 2006 as well as continuing to develop managed services. Business expansion lead to the opening of a new data centre (14,000 square feet) in February 2009 in downtown Vancouver. Located adjacent to the BC Hydro substation on Burrard Street, the new location is in the enviable position of having unlimited power access for the latest blade servers and high current computing technologies.
As 2009 began, PSD completed a number of successful installations of Bonded DSL with customers across the Greater Vancouver Regional District. As preparation for development of a partner network took shape in mid 2009 the brand Rocket Networks was conceived and sales partners and new clients continue to come online.
